| | | Wildlife rehabilitation career
Hello, wondered if anyone could help me out!
I'll give some detail..! Back when I was in school, I was quite ill for a while, which unfortunately affected my grades, although I still successfully enrolled into the sixth form there. I was forced, however, to leave again due to illness. I then had a bit of a revelation regarding what I wanted to do with my life - I wanted to work with animals. So, I got better, and volunteered at the RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre, and have been there 5 months now. Anyway, what I want specifically is to be an animal rehabiltator, probably working in an animal sanctuary. I am looking to study a course that will help me achieve this, but I have no idea what kind of course to take, and I can't seem to find anyone to help point me in the right direction. So I'm abit lost! I'd also love to volunteer at some local (South Yorskhire) wildlife sanctuary too, so I have abit more relevant experience, but it's difficult to find a place...
Sorry for rambling on abit! I'm not sure who to turn to for advice. Oh, and sorry if this has been answered before, or is in the wrong place, I am a new guy! Thanks!  |

Hi Ranger,
I'm in Sheffield too. My daughter is going to Cedar Wildlife Sanctuary with her Wildlife Watch group next month. It's not *that* local, but maybe worth contacting to find out if the woman who runs it knows anyone more local to you?
