seasonal ecology work?

Has any one any seasonal ecology work going (or other work related to ecology/biology/ecotoxicology)?

since being made redundant at the end of last year there has been a lot of rejection emails from job applications, 3m people out of work i guess does that.

I ideally would like to continue you to be in the UK this summer as my brother has a wedding etc, but the only role I have landed is going back to my aquatic ecology qualification and jumping on a ship in the Antarctic for 4 months, making sure the long line boats are fishing legally. If there is bad weather at the end of the stint it is going to make getting back north for the wedding tricky.

How are your birding skills? This firm seem to be re-advertising a position they put out months ago. Pretty much immediate start. I'd certainly be going for it if I wasn't sorted for the next few months.

Last Monday's update from Environmentjob.co.uk had seasonal contracts with Thompson Ecology and Keystone Environmental, both UK wide.
Its worth signing up for their weekly email update if you don't already get it.

I've also seen an ad for a maternity cover post for a ranger in Peak District National Park.
