We will shortly be requiring a Wildlife Casualty Manager to start early 2010.
Duties to include the assessing & treating of wildlife casualties admitted to the hospital, calculating treatment/medication regimes & making sure all casualties within the hospital receive the correct treatment on a daily basis.
Assessing the readiness of rehabilitated casualties for release & organising their return to the wild when fit. Experience in treatments & medications used in the treatment of wildlife casualties is essential (knowledge of different drugs e.g. antibiotics, steroids, wormers etc.). Experience of anaesthetising & x-raying an advantage.
You will also be required to oversee the day-to-day running of the hospital & supervise & train Care Assistants & volunteers.
Some weekends & nights on-call will be required.
Must have AT LEAST 2 YEARS experience in all the above as well as experience of managing a team of staff.

Salary: Minimum £15,000 pa initially (fully negotiable for the right applicant).
