| | | Possible job I have an interview for a job with the Scottish Government. Its at their agricultural department where they test for pesticide poisoning in wild animals that have died and also to test for effects of pesticides.....thing is do you think it will involve testing on live animals!? Because if it is i really dont think i can do it.
Il find out soon enough at the interview but iv not been given a date yet. |

| | | Re: Possible job You could always ask them at the interview Amylou and discuss your feelings.
This is important work and will go some way in establishing how the illegal use of pesticides are used, strengthen the need to establish an audit trail for products, suppliers and end users and perhaps incorporate user recognition technology at point of sale.
Good luck with the interview and stay positive! |

| | | Re: Possible job I doubt it but it ought to say in the job description if it does - presumably you had a full job pack when you applied.

| | | Re: Possible job Remember that even if it does involve "testing on live animals" they may be animals brought in as suspected poisoning cases, rather than deliberately poisoned as part of trials. Vets need to know what the symptoms are if a live but sick animal (domestic or wild) is taken initially to them, so they then need to know what to test for or (if there is one) what remedy to administer. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
