| | Animal Science / Management Degrees Hi, I'm 27, considering ditching the rat race that is an office job in London and heading down to South-West England to do a degree in animal management or animal science etc.
I just wondered if anyone knew which universities are considered best for this sort of thing. I'm finding it hard as I will have to work when i'm not at college.
So far I'm looking at Bridgwater College as their fulltime course is squeezed to two days a week so i could work the other 5, but still do the course in 3 years. It's also closest to where I'd like to relocate. However, it seems less science based than I'd like.
The course I most like the look of is the animal science and management degree at Lackham, Wiltshire College.
Sparsholt is also an option, though maybe a bit too far away for my liking.
Any advice on these colleges, or any others, that work well for South-West England or near, much appreciated.
I'd like to start planning so that i can start the course next year! (Dang that I missed it this time, but I do have to make some quite large changes, so that's no bad thing!).
Thanks!

| | | Re: Animal Science / Management Degrees Both Lackham and Sparsholt are long established Colleges that used to specialize in Agriculture. They probably have farms as part of their resources. I don't know anything about Bridgewater. |

| | | Re: Animal Science / Management Degrees Not sure if it will have what you are looking for but there is Kingston Maurward College | Dorchester | Dorset | UK near to where I live.
I know people who have been to Lackham and Sparsholt both colleges with good reputations and they have gone on to start up their own businesses in agriculture/forestry.
There is also: ::::: Bicton College ::::: Welcome Duchy College : Home
but I have no idea how good/bad they are!
Hope this helps. Welcome to WAB...
