another good tip is to make a list of the skills and experience you do already have and use this to guage whether a job is worth applying for. Also look out for trainee jobs which generally require less experience.

| | | Re: Job Description I would add that applying for jobs is in itself a valuable skill. Do what Eeyore says and make a list of all the skills and experience that you have now. Also think of the different ways you can describe these skills. Always try and be positive and use your imagination . Also try to never use the same CV twice always tailor it to the particular job you are applying for.
You must never lie on CVs although many do but you can use english in an imaginative way. I have interviewed many people and have discovered that often they have skills that they didnt portray properly in their CV.
Try and get some real interview experience even to the point of applying for jobs that you dont want but feel that you have a chance of getting. Interviews can be a minefield for the unprepared and when that dream job comes up you dont want to miss the chance because you were unprepared for the interview.
Good luck
