| | | Not too late... I was walking along the footpath towards the visitor centre at Carsington yesterday and thought to myself that I'll not be taking many more plant photos this year. There were, admittedly, a few straggly Herb Robert and Red Campion struggling to show, along with great berry displays on Viburnums and Blackthorn.
However, I took a walk along the reservoir edge, below the high water mark, and was surprise to see Daisy, Buttercup and, I'm guessing, Redshank, to name but a few.
They were very small plants but looked very healthy, in spite of poor soil conditions. |

| | | Re: Not too late... Still looking as fresh as a Daisy, Ian! Agree with your Redshank ID.
We've only had 1 light frost so far + I noticed lots of fairly common plants last week in a brief stroll with some good flowers, such as Common Mallow, Toadflax, Bristly Ox-tongue + quite a few others.
I remember Dorts gave a good list the other day around his farm too. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
