| | | Yellow Flower - any ideas please? Hello, I was wondering if anyone new what this flowering plant is? It has formed a dense layer about a metre or more high. Most of it finished flowering a while ago but this picture is of some flowering now near the coast in Cornwall. Anyone have any ideas? unidentified51 - Wild About Britain Pics |

These yellow crucifers are notoriously difficult without being able to clearly see particular parts of the plant. Mainly the lower leaves, and a clear close-up of a seed pod.
The upper leaves, which we can see, are entire, which leads me to think it's a Sisymbrium sp.. I think I can just about make-out some seed pods closely appressed to the stem, so it could be Hedge Mustard, which usually has hairy stems, but not always.
Best I can do I'm afraid, unless you have some other photo's?

I'm not totally convinced it's a Sisymbrium, but it's such a poor photo from which to identify a yellow flowered crucifer I can't make any better suggestions + doubt anybody could be 100% certain of its ID.
Close ups of the leaves + particularly the fruits are needed to take this further.. |
