| | | Re: Water plant ID please I can't see it too clearly, but it almost looks like a Marsh Marigold, but far too late for that. Maybe one of the Yellow Waterlilies, Nuphar lutea or Nuphar pumila?
Regards, Audrey. |

| | | Re: Water plant ID please It's Caltha palustris (Marsh-marigold), which is somewhat related to the spearworts. |

Regards, Audrey. | I've seen plenty of Marsh Marigold in flower here. There often seems to be a flush of flowering around now, but some of this may be related to site management, particularly clearing of ponds, ditches and mowing their edges. |

| | | Re: Water plant ID please Yep. Marsh Marigold, a member of the buttercup family as are Spearworts and Lesser Celandine.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Water plant ID please I've never seen it flowering so late in the year up here, I think of it as a mainly spring flower, with some summer flowers, but I wouldn't expect to see any into August.
Should have trusted my first thought.
Regards, Audrey.
