| | | Plant id please I found these in a park to-day near where I live,they were beside a hole dug to help drainage in the park. I can't quite nail them down any help please.  ,  ,  ,

1.Like aeshna5, I think it looks like an Amaranthus, though not one I am able to ID. (but it looks familiar).
2. Common Orache - Atriplex patula.

| | | Re: Plant id please Thank you all for your help I did think 1 might have been in the goosefoot family and the redness came because its getting late in the year.
Is Amaranthus a native?
The park where I found it is a large 650 acre park and mainly cut grass with aok tree's dotted about,so not many wild flowers until they do some work then allsorts crop up so there must have been seeds of this plant there.
