| | | Two more to ID, please Seen at Norton Perrow Arboretum, so may be garden escapees.
The first looks like Dove's-foot Crane's Bill:
The second, I feel I should know it from previous postings, but I can't find an obvious candidate:
Thanks,

| | | Re: Two more to ID, please First looks more like Hedgerow cranesbill Geranium pyrenaicum
Second I think is a Salvia species - but I can't take it down to a species level - Dorts or one of the others may be of more help here.

| | | Re: Two more to ID, please I agree with John, 1. is Hedgerow Cranesbill; Dove'sfoot C. has leaves cut to at least half-way.
The 2nd. is a Salvia, probably Meadow Clary - Salvia pratensis, a rare native, though this plant is almost certainly of of garden origin.

| | | Re: Two more to ID, please Brilliant! Thank you both.
Having looked them up, the only query I have is that the flowering peiod for both should be well past.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Two more to ID, please In my experience Ian, Hedgerow Cranesbill can go on flowering until the frost's. The Clary could well be a second flowering.

| | | Re: Two more to ID, please Hi again, Dorts.
Thanks for that. I must learn to be a bit more sceptical of reference entries. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
