| | | Re: Small-flowered Crane's-bill Elaine, it's Hedgerow Cranesbill - Geranium pyrenaicum.
Small-flowered C. despite having very small flowers, has no anthers on the outer stamens, your flower does.
Small-flowered C. is G. pusillum; G. rotundifolium is Round-leaved C. in case there is any confusion.
Perhaps you were just refering to the size of the flowers rather than giving it a proper name?
Dorts.

| | | Re: Small-flowered Crane's-bill Dorts, no my fault!
I suggested this to Elaine, but have so many different taxa (lichens, galls, and some fungi) to check that I am getting muddled (particularly with flower names for some reason). It was G. rotundifolium, not G. pusillum that I had in mind when we saw them yesterday. But I did tell her to check here!
Irritatingly one flower I did not photograph at the weekend was a new one for me, Trailing St. John's Wort Hypericum humifusum. |

Dorts. | They seem to have a long flowering period too so late into the season they were at Clumber park. |

| | | Re: Small-flowered Crane's-bill Also beware confusing Geranium pusillum and the common Dovesfoot -Crane's bill Geranium molle. After seeing Geranium pyrenaicum a few times you can quite easily tell it apart from these other two, but G. pusillum and G. molle require a more detailed look at the seeds and/or anthers.
Thought I'd through this in as they are all pretty common, Geranium rotundifolium is a plant I just don't find
