| | | Foxglove or not Ive had this down as a Foxglove, now i am told it isnt a Foxglove, although the person who told me didnt know what it was, i did think it odd it only has one flower but the pattern inside the head looks like foxglove, what is it please if its not a Foxglove thank you...Ray

It looks like one of the Calamints, (Clinopodium sp.). It could be Common Calamint, which is native, (though it looks a bit like Greater Calamint which isn't).
Your plant would have had many more flowers, but they have all finished, leaving just the one.

| | | Re: Foxglove or not I think this is maybe a garden escape x, calamints are usually hairy, and in the photo the plant is very shiny, even the seedpods. Also the markings on the petals are white, not darker blotches.
