| | | Which geranium?
This particular geranium has me in a quandry. I'm inclined to think it is a dovesfoot cranesbill ( Geranium molle) but would very much appreciate more expert views |

| | | Re: Which geranium? Looks more like - Hedgerow Crane's-bill Geranium pyrenaicum to me. Geranium molle would have much smaller flowers.

| | | Re: Which geranium? I agree with Hedgerow cranesbill, the leaves are correct, and the petals cut almost in half, and angled stems.

| | | Re: Which geranium? Yes, deinitely Hedgerow Cranesbill - Geranium pyrenaicum.
An interesting species. It originally was ony locally common in the midlands, and was in many flora's known by the name of Midland Cranesbill. It was thought to have come from the continent, where it is relatively common and was often named as Pyrenean Cranesbill.
It seems now that it is thought to be native, and has been officially re-named as Hedgrerow Cranesbill.
I well remember my first record of it, in Oxfordshire in 1979 when it was still quite uncommon. It is now very widespread around the country.

Dorts. | Common as muck round these parts now Didn't realise it was once a locally common species.
