| | | Re: Wild flower id please The yellow crucifer is difficult without seeing some leaves, possibly Treacle Mustard, (growing with Knotgrass).
The vetch is Smooth Tare.

The place were I found this plant was near the river Chelmer in Chelmsford Essex,I have known this area to be under a couple of inches of water from the Chelmer on rare occasions.Perhaps the seed washed down from up stream? |

There are a couple of recent records on the coast, at the eastern end of the Essex Estuaries, but nothing further upstream. So it is vey unlikely to be that species.

I don't know if this'll help but here's a photo of Ray's knotgrass
This is growing on Landguard Nature Reserve, the bit of land at the end of Suffolk that sticks out in to Harwich Harbour so not far from Essex at all. But I agree with Dorts that it is a coastal plant, it seems to like disturbed shingle/ sand |

| | | Re: Wild flower id please Thanks for the photo of Rays knotgrass Metalfish.
I was going to try and find it out on the essex estuaries myself.
They are remote places and take ages to get to so at least I can put it of for a while now,to get my photo.
Thanks again Dorts and Metalfish. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
