Opposite-leaved Composite


This plant which I noticed ages ago as a seedling when mowing the lawn has finally flowered. I presume it's a composite, and perhaps a Perennial Sunflower species (Helianthus). Any other views?

Helianthus type definitely. Perhaps you've got a new variety! Save some seed.
