Can you tell me if this is a Field Gentian?

I saw this today on its own on the side of a limestone patchy scree area, and this was on a short grassed probably grassed over ant hill. I can only think it to be the Field Gentian, but the lonesome flower is white! Can you please confirm what it is please.. Bryan.

On limestone I'd say Autumn Gentian Gentianella amarella just a paler form, I'd like to see what the others think, beautiful plants

Is the "White Flowered" one rare, because in my books it only shows it as a mauve colour flower.

Certainly not at all common. I have only found this pale-flowered form a couple of times in over 50 years!

Thanks Dorts, I hope to go out again tomorrow and see if the other flowers have opened up. I will also have a good look around to see if I can find anymore.

Not bad when your first one of this species is a white flowered!
