| | | Re: Perennial wall rocket ID Alison, yes I think it is Perennial Wall Rocket - Diplotaxis tenuifolia. Flowers are normally a bit paler but everything else seems to fit.
A good find.

| | | Re: Perennial wall rocket ID I have this growing in my vicinity and have known it for years. Are you sure? Does the leaves when crushed smell absolutely awful? Yes as silly as it sounds this is diagnostic, almost. It is also true of Annual Wall Rocket which also I know locally. The photo you have posted doesn't look quite right although I don't know what else it could be these plants can be difficult. Good luck-Steve 47. |

As you rightly say, 'what else can it be'?

| | | Re: Perennial wall rocket ID I didn't think to smell the leaves. Will do when I next encounter.
The seed pods on the 1st photo, being shaped and hairy, made me question the designation.
A very successful plant then, as the ones photographed were found in very different locations.
Thanks for the information. |

Thanks for the information. | By no means common throughout the country, but in some areas, such as London and North of, it is locally common.

| | | Re: Perennial wall rocket ID The 3rd photo was of a plant found on the sand dunes at St Anne's in Lancashire, so they do get about.
The other 2 plants found in South Beds. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
