| | | Bistort? Hi again,
My references, such as they are, suggest this is Bistort, but the associated photos don't show the branched flower stems seen in this example and are described as having "upright, unbranched stem". Is there another possibility?
Thanks,
Ian |

| | | Re: Bistort? There's me using out-dated names again. I see it is now officially 'Redshank'and Hedera and Ian are right. And my old favourite 'Redleg' has been relegated to the dustbin of unwanted names.
Oh well, so be it.

| | | Re: Bistort? - No - Redshank And there I was thinking Redshank was a bird! I clearly need a new reference, as Redshank only appears as a "similar to" reference on the Bistort page.
I like the "common" name - "Lady's Thumb". Thanks, all. |

| | | Re: Bistort? I also call this redleg as redshank makes me think feathers not chlorophyll. I reckon we could snuck the name redleg back out of the dustbin of unwanted names. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
