Is this Viper's Bugloss?

I saw this growing in the shingle close to Walmer castle in Kent earlier this month.

I searched on the net and think it is Viper's Bugloss, but would be grateful for confirmation, or the correct identification. The plant was about a 75cm high.

Yes it is- lovely plant of well drained sites.

Yes, as Aeshna says - so too on sandy areas or near dunes - we had a work party to plant plugs in the local reserve, so my Vipers bugloss plugs I put in close to posts where there was sand/gravel as a soil base, rubbish and dry for most, but these are doing well now...........
