| | | Re: Spreading hedge parsley? In picture 2 I can just see some bracts hanging from beneath the inflorescence so Fool's Parsley for me.

| | | Re: Spreading hedge parsley? Steve, I think it's Burnet Saxifrage - Pimpinella saxifraga, lower leaves, (not shown), are quite different. Flower-head never has bracts and can vary from 20-50mm across.
Spreading Hedge-parsley, now quite uncommon, has fruits with straight, stiff hairs.
-----------
I,ve just seen that the others have gone for Fool's Parsley. I couldn't see any bracts, but having had a closer look, I can see there are some there. (much easier for younger eyes).
Fool's Parsley normally has very prominant long outer-bracts. But it could be. Fruits are very similar. Though I thought upper-leaves looked perfect for Burnet Saxifrage.

all the best steve | Thanks for posting your Fool's Parsley pic Steve.
I think it is now clear that the original plant is not Fool's Parsley, so I will be interested to hear about those 'lower-leaves'.

all the best steve | Thanks for clearing that up Steve. (Still like to know where all the long-bracts went to, on the original pic?
All good fun.
