Lords and Ladies

My little patch of Lords and Ladies is going to look wonderful when these berries ripen......

Went for a walk on Friday, with a friend, and we couldn't believe how many of these we saw. The berries were already ripe.

When I was at Hadleigh CP yesterday I found quite a few already with bright red fruits- always a joy to see.

The old rule of thumb used to be one week delay on the growing season for every hundred miles north.

In my local wood (East Yorkshire) they are just starting to turn.

Be interesting to know when yours ripen Farplace,keep us posted.

That's interesting. The Lords and Ladies in my garden here in the far south were bright red at least a week ago.

My L&L are still mostly green. They are in a shaded area of the wood. Perhaps this makes a difference? This pic taken today:

Around my local patches (West London) they're bright red too a week or 2 ago.

Can I ask does anyone know the distribution for Italian Lords and Ladies (Arum italicum) in the UK?
