| | | ID : Orache species. Hello WAB,
During a fungi foray around Knightshayes Court in Mid Devon this morning I came across an orache plant species in the wood yard. I have suspicions it might be Early Orache ( Atriplex praecox) but this is supposed to be coastal according to the books. Does anyone have an idea on this based on a picture of the leaf attached? Structurally, the rest of the plant looks fitting for Early Orache.
Regards,
Andrew. |

Andrew. | Andrew, Early Orache is a real rarity and only found in and around the Western Isles.
Your plant is probably Spear-leaved Orache - Atriplex prostrata.

Dorts. | Morning Dorts,
That's the one. I did not read my Warne properly as Early Orache is within the description for Spear-leaved and the main title of that description was on te previous page!
Thanks,
Andrew. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
