| | | Different Bedstraws......... Can anyone say if these are different Bedstraws from the photos. They were found in different locations. |

| | | Re: Different Bedstraws......... 1 and 2 I would say are hedge bedstraw and 3 is probably common marsh bedstraw. The difference is in the leaves although I am using the robustness to help form an ID here. You need to check leaf veins and the side prickles (absent or not and which way they point).

It is often fairly easy to ID the commonest species without a book, but these little tips like the hairs pointing what way are the defining things which, once learnt, make bedstraws nice and easy
