Hi I find this group very confusing. can anyone id these two for me please.  .

1 is a hawksbeard, Crepis sp, but can't see the leaves to get a handle on species. maybe C. vesicaria?
2 Mouse-ear Hawkweed, Pilosella officinarum, quite easy to ID with runners + leaves with long white hairs, the plant sometimes forming extensive mats. |

The long-beaked achenes (visible lower right) look good for Crepis vesicaria. |

Many thanks to you both for you're help. As I said I am not expert enough to recognise the subtle differences within this group even though I have searched my books over and over again however you have nailed them for me.
