| | | re: Fascinating transformation of Mayweed your plants are mayweeds. Hard to ID from a photo, but I'd hazard a guess at scented mayweed, Matricaria recutita  because as far as I can tell the stems are glabrous and in my experience the petals reflex like that very often in this species.
I'd agree, to see a time-lapse would be really good!

I've looked at a few google images before posting my thread and I think some of those may have been incorrectly identified as Ox Eye Daisies. I should have asked here first  ... I don't suppose I can change the thread title now either. |

| | | re: Fascinating transformation of Mayweed In ther 4th photo I can make out some of the sepal-like bracts. They are edged brown, so I'd say this was more likely to be scentless mayweed, Tripleurospermum inodorum. The petals can also reflex in this species.
