| | | Two more for id please The first looks in size like Meadow Cranesbill, but not in colour. I couldn't get closer to see the leaf. Growing by a river.
I wondered if the second and third are Trailing Tormentil? I'm not used to seeing Tormentil in woodland in such vast quantities as this one was.
Thanks.

| | | Re: Two more for id please The first plant I think is a garden escape, hardy geranium, I have lots in my garden. The Tormentil could be Trailing - can't see if it is rooting at leaf-nodes though.

The second looks like Potentilla erecta to me, don't think it's P. anglica. Flowers all have 4 petals, and petioles are all short. |

| | | Re: Two more for id please 1. I agree with Hedera, a garden escapee. I'ts French Cranesbill - Geranium endressii.
2. I go along with K.E. Tormentil - Potentilla erecta. The leaves have the typical long, central tooth, not found in P. anglica.

| | | Re: Two more for id please Thanks everyone. I associate Tormentil with moorland where it is more solitary - hence mistaking it for Trailing Tormentil. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
