| | | Umbellifer for id please I'm terrible at umbellifers and am trying to change that, but it's so difficult! I know this is really common, but I don't know what it is. Can anyone help me! Thanks.

| | | Re: Umbellifer for id please I'm not too good at these either - but I'm gonna guess at Wild Angelica.
Although I thought the stems on Angelica were a pinky brown colour
Maybe that comes later?

it's not Angelica - that would show inflated upper leaf-sheaths for a start
I know the best way to identify umbellifers is when they fruit, but I can see enough of the basal leaves (amongst all that Filipendula) to say I think this is ground elder Aegopodium podagraria

Chris | I thought Ground Elder too, but couldn't see the leaves well enough, as mainly Meadow Sweet leaves showing. |

| | | Re: Umbellifer for id please Thanks everyone. I deliberately tried to include the leaf, having failed in the past, difficult sometimes to get leaf and flower in focus. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
