Evening Primrose?

Found this growing at the side of a small lake, about 80cm high. Think it's Evening Primrose but not sure.



Any ID help much appreciated.

Agree it's this species- the most showy of the lot!

Here's the small flowered one for comparison. This one surviving between the garden wall & a pavement in an urban area.



The common evening primrose used to be the emblem for Ansdell Technical School, Lytham St Anne's, (1970s) beatutifully embroidered on the blazer pocket of the school uniform.
