Help on Id please
This was found growing on a grassy bank in Harlow, Essex.



It is about 24 inches tall, and was growing amongst Bristly Ox-tongue, Common Mallow, Ragwort, Red Dead Nettle.

The area is a quite steeply sloping bank and is left as an overgrown nature area. There were dozens of these dooted around ???

Can anyone help, can't find these in my book, regards Nick

Tragopogon porrifolius - salsify. Very attractive alien. Close relative of goatsbeard (Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon), aka meadow salsify.
