I can see why you're confused Leif. This thread is also on the 'Wildflower,plant + Trees' forum.
I have been getting in a muddle as to which plant we are looking at.  But I think I am now with it.
I have said on the other similar thread:
'I've had another look at this plant, and have to say there is something in it being Red Bartsia. It is horizontally branched low-down and the sepals are less pointed than in Marsh Woundwort. So I'm happy to change my mind on this one.'
(now I know what pic I'm looking at.) I think.

The two threads don't help, as maybe it didn't me posting some photos for comparison, but the OP put the same photo up on both threads. |

Hi all,
Am I the OP? Offending party? Just worked it out! Sorry for the confusion. As I explained on the other thread it was a total mistake putting this in both threads and I'm really sorry to cause so much confusion. I'd been having trouble with WAB with it suddenly displaying 'Internet Explorer cannot display this page' in the middle of posting the thread so I did it again and then realised it was there twice and tried to delete one of them, but couldn't see how to do it. Any suggestions?
PS I wish my lichen threads got as much attention!

Re you problem uploading and getting 'Internet Explorer cannot display this page' error message. There is a thread posted by Paul Mabbot at the top of the Forums page which mentions this, may help.
Re Lichens. They can be very trick to ID from photo's and the number of us capable of making an intelligent guess is not great, however we do have one expert who often helps out, so be patient, your ID's may come.
