| | | Orchid for ID and a unknown Got these two while out on the mooch, the red one I think is an orchid ? I dont know about the second one but cant remember seeing a flower like it before

Nice find beech, where abouts did you find it?
Second is Wood Sage - Teucrium scorodonia .

| | | Re: Orchid for ID and a unknown I came across 15 to 20 of these at a place in North Lancashire its part of a national nature reserve so with them definately being orchids they will be known about I would think. I can supply a more detailed location if you require it. Its amazing the different plants and insects you see when looking for bumble bees. Never really noticed before |

Never really noticed before  | The general location is fine for this orchid. It's as common in N. Lancs as anywhere. I'm sure it will be known about on the reserve.
You'll make several people on here very jealous to have 'stumbled' across so many, including me!
