Please could someone help with identification of this orchid. I know it's a lousy photo, but it was very windy and I could not get near enough to get a better pic.
It was growing on Bodmin Moor, in boggy ground near to the dam wall of Collingford Lake - a reservoir.

Maybe a Southern marsh orchid - Dactylorhiza praetermissa? (I'm no expert on these!)

Hedera is right, Southern Marsh Orchid. Nice broad lip, spots only on the central part; thick, hollow stem, un-spotted leaves.

Many thanks to you both. In the same area I found this pretty little pink flower, which I'm guessing is Lousewort. (Yes, no?) It's a new one to me, so I'm quite pleased with it.  |

Yes, you're right Willowjay, it is Lousewort - Pedicularis sylvatica. It's a great little plant, lives on poor, damp soils.
