Hi Pete, I`m usually after ID`s so be warned
3 is Hemp Agrimony
5 is Common Comfrey
7 is Amphibious Bistort

I would wait for others to confirm/correct any of my ID`s

Thanks Pam. I did wonder if 7 was Amphibious Bistort, it's cropped up on WAB a couple of times before. I don't have my books with me here in Huntingdon (I work away from home during the week) so I can't easily check things out. It's usually quicker to come straight to WAB anyway!

I think 1 is flowering rush.

8 is a Water Plaintain, but I`m not sure which

2. Marsh Sow-thistle (Sonchus palustris) - very nice find!
3. Hemp-agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum)
4. Yellow Loosestrife (Lysimachia vulgaris)
5. Common Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)
6. Greater Bird's-foot-trefoil (Lotus pedunculatus)
7. Amphibious Bistort (Persicaria amphibia)
8. Frogbit (Hydrocharis morsus-ranae)

I suspected 4 was a type of Loosestrife. The Marsh Sow-thistle was quite abundant, and some of it was about 7ft tall.

Most of them are new to me, so it's been a very successful evening!

I've just remembered there was a ninth for ID ...

As you can see, it was growing straight out of the water (a ditch in the fen).

This ones Greater Bladderwort We saw it the weekend on a trip down your way to Wicken Fen, I believe it`s quite rare

I haven't been to Wicken Fen for years - I went a couple of times when I lived in Suffolk for many years. I'll have to visit it again sometime soon.
