| | | Re: triffid ID ! Don`t give up on it yet. You have two squash type plants two Sow Thistles two that I can`t ID ?crucifers the rest are chickweeds as far as I can tell but there are a couple of new cotyledons showing through.
Give it a week or so. Pull out the chickweed if you don`t want it, water the rest and wait. You never know what you may get.
A little patience may well be rewarded in this case. |

| | | Re: triffid ID ! Funny, I was watering our courgettes and clearing out chickweed yesterday and was reminded of this.
I expect that by now the "Triffids" will be replanted and maybe producing useable fruit.
I was also thinking that wild flower seed is not bred to germinate within a certain timeline. It may be this month, this year or the year after when you see these seeds germinate.
Just look after the seed-tray, leave it outside, exposed to the elements, allow it to dry out only if there are no seeds obviously germinating but it`s Ok to dry it out otherwise. allow it to freeze etc. keep it from being contaminated by other seeds -willow-herb, sowthistle etc You should eventually see some green shoots from the seeds that you planted. If you have already chucked it away just with the spot where you chucked it for an few years.

| | | Re: triffid ID ! As soon as I saw the picture & before I saw artdemole's reply, I immediately thought Marrow.
My Mum used to grow them in our garden when I was a kid. Yummy!
The plant's gonna get big if it is!
