Flowering out of season

I rather think that this is viola odorata. But it's mid-November! Is this common? Anyone else spotted unseasonal flowers this year?

Got two clumps of primrose in bloom in wood locally, i wonder if they will bloom again in the spring.

I still have poppies, which I never expected to see - especially after the deluges of rain and the high winds of the last couple of days we have had up north. A couple have shown their colours this morning and probably wondered what they had let themselves in for.

You will often find the odd flower out of season on plants but each year the flowers do seem to get more and more confused. Primroses (originally wild, they 'hopped' over the fence,) have been flowering autumn through to late spring in my garden for years and I also have welsh poppies out at the moment. I think part of the problem is that we don't seem to get the hard frosts like we used to as early in the year. I also have a garden hebe which shouldn't flower until next spring in full bloom, I don't know if that will flower again at the proper time.
