| | | Best Wildflower I.D guides? I was wandering whether anybody could please give me any advice on wildflower field guides.I have the Wildflower Key by Francis Rose(is it really worth junking this for the new Ed.?).More and more I find myself encountering alien species which are not well covered in this book, also I am happy wth some technical content, but admit to being an all-rounder.Does anybody have any opinions on the Collins Flower Guide by David Streeter?Cheers Jason

I have a copy of the Collins Guidebook mentioned and it is very good but a bit bulky for fieldwork. I use the Collins Guide to Wildflowers by Paul Sterry and Wildflowers of Britain by Fitter, Fitter and Blaney. |

| | | Re: Best Wildflower I.D guides? Thanks Devonmaid,I must admit I already have quite a few guides, and use these as a kind of grapeshot for ID.Normally I look at the pictures to get close, then key it out.Right o ,another book in my collection it is then.Cheers Jason |
