The first photo, though, isn't Spotted Cat's-ear; it's (a) Spotted Hawkweed, Hieracium. The commonest one in gardens, and hence as an escape, seems to be Hieracium maculatum - it's naturalised in the south-west in several places, usually on walls & paths. |

Looks rather more like Hieracium scotostictum but there are several spotted leaved Hawkweeds so hard to be sure.
In my experience most plants grown in gardens as H. maculatum are in fact H. scotostictum. |
