1. 
2. Echium vulgare - Vipers Bugloss ? 
I'm unsure of No2 because it was very low growing (no more that 12 inches high), multi-stemmed (like a small bush shape) and I thought Vipers Bugloss had just one tall stem ? |

The only Viper's Bugloss around here at the moment is the
scrubby sort that is just making a last gasp attempt to
flower after damage earlier in the year, and it doesn't come
up on long stems. |
