Can someone plese ID these.

2. Echium vulgare - Vipers Bugloss ?


I'm unsure of No2 because it was very low growing (no more that 12 inches high), multi-stemmed (like a small bush shape) and I thought Vipers Bugloss had just one tall stem ?

Was it in an area that had been mown?

The only Viper's Bugloss around here at the moment is the
scrubby sort that is just making a last gasp attempt to
flower after damage earlier in the year, and it doesn't come
up on long stems.

Yes it was.

It was actually in the central grassy part of a track through the woods.
