Common Broomrape?

Is this Common Broomrape? The second photo shows the vegetation around it, there was some Common Knapweed a little further away.

It was near Walkern, in Herts.

Hard to tell from the picture but it is likely to be Knapweed Broomrape (Orobanche elatior). There is some Greater Knapweed in the picture.

yeah I agree common broomrape most commonly parasites on clovers
