| | | Flower ID please Hi everyone, you will be pleased to know that I haven`t given up on trying to identify my plants....... Stop groaning everyone I can here you
I`m fairly confident with this one
Tutsan?
But this one has me stumped Found in an urban park on the edge of a brook. The largest leaves are 2inch across, smallest 1/2 inch. The leaves dont smell. It was a cople of yards away from the Tutsan. Maybe a Cranesbill?
Any help gratefully received.

| | | Re: Flower ID please Your second is one of the Campanula's (Bellflower). Many variations are available from garden centres, and I would imagine this is a garden escape/casual.

| | | Re: Flower ID please Hi Pam,
Your first plant looks a pretty good Tutsan, Hypericum androsaemum, related to the St. John's Worts.
The second is a Campanula, as Mike says. It might well be Trailing Bellflower, Campanula poscharskyana which around Plymouth is commonly naturalized on garden walls but is not often seen far from habitation..........but there are lots of other Bellflowers that it could be.
Keep those pictures coming in.
Phil

| | | Re: Flower ID please Your bellflower is Adria Bellflower, Campanula portenschlagiana - a plant I see a lot of on walls around and about Bristol. There's another fairly similar species, C. poscharskyana (Trailing Bellflower) which tends to be commoner, but with practice they're fairly easy to tell apart
And I agree No. 1 is Tutsan |

The shape of the flowers says to me it is C. poscharskyana- they are more open + often paler in colour. C. portenschlagiana has more closed bell-like flowers, usually a deeper blue colour. |
