| | | ID confirmation or correction please Hi we went to a wildflower meadow yesterday. There were loads of Common Spotted Orchids  Could anyone confirm that in this photo is Self Heal & Yellow rattle.
This little flower has me puzzled ( just for a change!) Here are the leaves & the flower head. Can anyone help please

| | | Re: ID confirmation or correction please Cuckoo flower is normally single, Pam, with 4 petals (I think this is called cruciform or cruciferous .. i.e. the petals are in a cross shape .. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! Brassicas are cruciform and the cuckoo flower is a brassica .. are you still with me ..?  )
The colour can be a bit confusing sometimes, Pam, as they can range from almost white, through pale pink to quite a lilacy (if that's a word!) colour. The lilac ones are my favs
