| | | A few flowers for ID please A few flowers for ID please, from my walk in South Bucks yesterday.
I'm guessing Giant Hogweed for this first one - it was up to 9ft tall!
1)
I came across what I think was a completely overgrown pond full of this stuff. The flowers are like giant buttercups (2-3 inches across), but not the leaves. It was in a village, so could be a garden escapee.
2)
I recognise the Common Fumitory (I hope!), but which spurge is this? It was on the edge of a field next to a housing estate (right by the M25!).
3)
A couple more, which I should probably know but have forgotten:
4)
5)
Thanks very much. |

| | | Re: A few flowers for ID please Thanks very much (yet again!), KeenTeen17. They are all new ones for me (at least I've never identified them before). I presume the Greater Spearwort was planted in the pond (but I'll count it anyway!).
I also saw my first White and Yellow water-lilies yesterday (at least, the first I've seen since I got interested in wildflowers). So my long walk yesterday was quite productive! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
