| | Looking for List of Scottish Wildflowers to Download Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a list of Scottish wildflowers that I can download to excel, was looking in specific to Outer Hebrides but all of Scotland would be great.
Had a look on internet but can't find anything at the moment.
Thanks a lot
Debs

| | | Re: Looking for List of Scottish Wildflowers to Download Have you tried the NBN Gateway ( www.searchnbn.net)? You ought to be able to do Outer Hebrides from there. Otherwise if you can wait a few days I'll probably be able to get you a list that I can email to you. But probably Alan S can help in shorter time.

I don't know of a general Scottish list, but you can obtain a list for any British vice county (including 110, Outer Hebrides) from the Botanical Society of the British Isles website.
Link for lists: Vice-County Census Catalogue of Vascular Plants of Great Britain, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
Anyone who thinks they might have an addition to any vice-county list should send it to the appropriate vice-county recorder (especially if it is for Wigtownshire!). Follow the BSBI link from the page listed above for information on recorders.

I followed the link to try and obtain an up to date list for Ireland, and specifically H3 and H4, but the relevant info doesn't seem to be included on the BSBI site. At present I'm working from the 1987 Census Catalogue of the Flora of Ireland, the New Atlas of the British and Irish Flora and the BSBI map link but distribution details don't seem to correlate.
Would you have any idea who I could contact for species distribution in Southern Ireland?
Thank you in advance, Jenny |

Thank you in advance, Jenny | Sorry Jenny, I cannot make any suggestion.
When work originally started on the current Census Catalogue for Britain, the Irish list had not long been published. My memory (as an early member of the working party) is that we conceived the British list as being complementary to the Irish list, and consequently the computerised database was built up without Ireland.
