| | | Re: Wildflower ID I notice that you have a stuck or "hot" pixel.
In the middle picture it is half way down the
stem and then dead centre of the image.
I have been testing a beta version of a great
bit of software called, rather unimaginatively
"PixelFixer" by the writer Thomas Coomerford.
He has been very helpful and has kindly made
any requested changes to this excellent tool. Pixel Fixer | Hot pixel removal utliity
It can fix individual files as part of your usual
workflow or once it knows your collection of
cameras it can read the EXIF and complete a
full memory card all at once to remap the hot
cells. This is much better than cloning them. |

| | | Re: Wildflower ID It is one of the little light sensitive patches on the camera sensor that has become stuck in the "on" position so it always records a bright light. In this case it is the bright green dot that you see against a background that should be dark. If you take a photo with your lens cap fitted and a short exposure with noise reduction off you will see light sparks if there are any faulty pixels. Don't worry about it as most cameras have them and they don't spoil your work unless they are in a cluster. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
