| | | Hellebore Hi folks, these were in a patch with Snowdrops at Slimbridge. I think they are Hellebores, can anyone help me with which type please. I presumme they were planted.

| | | Re: Hellebore The Hellebore may be Warberton's Rosemary.There are hybids that can be got as a packet of seeds that contain many colors.

| | | Re: Hellebore There are literally hundreds of species, hybrids and varieties of Hellebores available. It is almost impossible to identify many of them unless you are the grower.
Those that flower early are usually refered to as Christmas Roses, the later flowering kinds as Lenten Roses. They come in a wide range of colours, with both double and single flowers. They can live for many years, and a large old plant with 50+ flowers is a joy to behold.
We have just two native species, the Green Hellebore and the Stinking Hellebore.
