| | | Re: Help with Flower IDs Please Lester, I forgot to add, that Kydney Vetch can be found in a range of colours, including yellow, brown, orange and red. The colour of your plant is not too uncommon, especially here in Wales.

| | | Re: Help with Flower IDs Please Also just wondering if 6 is Greater Knapweed from the colouring of the bracts. From The Wildflower Key, Greater Knapweed "bracts with oval green lower parts and dark brown horseshoe shaped tips enclosing tip of green part" whilst Common Knapweed "tips of bracts brown, triangular....lower parts of bracts oblong, pale ...". It would fit with the habitat suggested by the other species (as would Common Kapweed). |

As for Greater or Common Knapweed, it could well be either. But I think on reflection, you are probably right. (I did rather rush these this-morning. Should have known better.)
So here's Lester's ammended list:
1. Kydney Vetch - Anthyllis vulneraria.
2. Lady's Bedstraw - Galium verum.
3 + 4. Betony - Stachys officinalis.
5. Wild Thyme - Thymus serpyllum.
6.Greater Knapweed - Centaurea scabiosa.
