How much should I pay?

Hi all, I am looking to buy a sorbus aucuparia (rowan mountain ash tree) for my garden. The reason, for the birds to enjoy the berries! I am looking to buy one at about 6-8ft preferably. Anyone know how much I should pay for one as I went to my local garden centre yesterday and they were charging £45 for a 5th tree :0 yet on the Internet I have seen them for around half that price? So how much should I look to pay and if you can from where?

Anywhere between £25 and £55 dependant on size. Younger trees will generally establish more quickly. I'd say a 5- 6ft tree for about £30-35 would be a fair price.

Thanks a lot dorts just to let you know I got a sorbus auuparia (2-3 year old tree) at approx 1500mm from eBay after you replied for £22 delivered

A worthy investment for anyone who has a bit of spare room in there garden!
