Daffodils are sprouting in the garden . Is it a little early ? Also a dog rose with flower here near bristol. |

Pretty normal for southern England at least. If we have some extended cold they will hold back but if it stays mild we could be in for an early spring. They're pretty resilient. |

Narcissus of the 'jonquil' type in full bloom in a sheltered part of the garden. Looks like they have been flowering for at least a week.
Also the orange-flowered Welsh Poppy just starting to flower.

When I was walking along Holland Park a couple of days I saw a trough of "Paper Whites" in bloom- an early variety often grown in mild areas such as Scilly/ Cornwall. |

That brings back some memories. We used to grow them in quantity for forcing when I was lad doing my horticultural training back in the early 60's. Happy Days.
