What's 'blocking' our river?

Probably very common, but so non descript I can't identify it. Hopefully there's enough detail, it's growing out from the banks at various points due to reduced river flow

I cant see it properly but it could be parrots feather you need to photograph some of the leaves if possible.

As Kayleigh says, can you get a close up of the foliage of the plants in the middle of the river and one of the plants growing on the margins please?

This is Fool's Watercress, a common native plant. Nothing much to worry about. There is another very similar looking species, Lesser Water-parsnip, which is also common, but this looks more like the other.
